During his visit to Assam, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate on May 26 the newly built Dhola-Sadiya bridge over the river Brahmaputra which also happens to be the country’s longest river bridge. The construction of the bridge started in 2011 and it has cost a total amount of nearly Rs 950 crores. On that particular day, both central and state governments are going to celebrate together their successful completion of ruling 3years and 1year respectively from the eastern most part of Assam. The river bridge will also serve as a strategic asset to the country. It is located near the India-China border. People of Arunachal and Sadia are going to benefit most from the improved transportation.
